100 Themes Fantasy Art Challenge

The thing is to draw 100 pictures, each with one theme from the theme list. In this Art Challenge the main focus is on fantasy.

The manga version of 100 Themes Art Challenge has caught my interest. It sounded like fun thing to do. ^____^

But because I'm not exactly a manga artist I didn't join the Manga Challenge (even though I make my humans and eyes manga-like, drawing humans isn't really my thing -.-;; ).

Therefore I chose to make my own 100 Themes Art Challenge which surrounds around FANTASY.

Remember, Internet is serious business.

 

 

Rules and stuff

Blantantly stolen (modified some parts) from the 100 Themes Manga Art Challenge.

I know I blabber too much >__> But it's only vertically long....

Requirements:

  • Own artwork only (traditional and digital both accepted), no photos, photomanipulation or such.
  • The picture must contain some kind of a character and please avoid using more than one page.
  • A blog, DeviantArt account, website, LiveJournal or anywhere that you can post your artwork at.
  • A text link or button link to this page.
  • Please put Number of Artwork Complete: # / 100, Last Update and Themes Updated in your post.

Your Artwork:

  • First of all, each theme should be done.
  • You can make more than one per theme if you like.
  • IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE PERFECT; colored, black and white or just doodles can enter. I won't go counting the resolution of each picture either....
  • OLD ARTWORK IS ACCEPTED even if you end up having the art challenge finished (but then that would be boring, right? ;p ).
  • Text in artwork is allowed.
  • You can even do a (one-page) comic.
  • As long as the art and message is there, it's fine by me.
  • Fanart is accepted but please in small amounts. If you're a fanartist you can start Fanart Challenge. Let me know. ^__^

How to Post:

  • Have a page/journal on your own that you can update with.
  • List all 100 themes.
  • Link each theme to your artwork.
  • It's good if you add a little description after it to show what you're trying to portray, but it's not the end of the world if you don't do it.

Other Things to Know:

  • There is NO DEADLINE. Do it as long as you like. It would be actually interesting to see people to do this for four years and then see the evolvement of the art over time. :D
  • YOU CAN DO THE THEMES IN ANY ORDER. Of course if you really want to challenge yourself you can do it in numerical or alphabetical order. ;p
  • To register yourself in this challenge, please contact me.
  • And if you decide to quit, let me know so I can take you off the list. There is no need to explain it because it's your decicion.

Definition for Fantasy:

  • It can be anything that cannot be found in this world.
  • Anthropomorphic art, dinosaurs and science fiction fall on the fantasy category by these rules.
  • It can be your own character living in an alternate excistence.
  • It can be anything, even tiny, to make it fantasy. I won't be going after your head for it.
